She wonders if it was a mistake to come here. Every week, the region seems to be plagued by a new disaster. Not a single month goes by without some kind of incident. Worst of all, she's been kicked out of her shifts in Sootopolis - All that extra effort gone down the drain...

Ephemeral like the wisps of steam that peel off this pool, warm water kisses the skin that a towel simply can't cover up. She's a lone sojourner in these parts, sighing to the heavens that heed not her prayers. Despite the sale and other festivities being over, Emilia still found herself frequenting Lavaridge's facilities. During the event she had grown fond of the relaxation this place had brought her and now intended to keep up this little habit of hers. After all, selfcare was important and now that she had started pampering herself she didn't want to stop. [break][break]

Having been here many times she came here fully prepared this time with a basket full of goodies she could use while soaking in the hot spring. A small waterproof speaker that could connect to her phone, small bottles of booze, and some frozen grapes she snuck in. She was ready for a very relaxed evening. [break][break]

Since the event had ended, during her frequent escapades here, she learned around what time she would have the hot springs to herself. So she put the finishing touches on tying up her hair in a bun with one had and holding her basket of goods in the other. She hummed to herself as she dug around in her basket for her phone already pulling up some YouTube videos she wanted to watch while in here. [break][break]

It was until she caught movement from the corner of her eye that she realized someone else was here. Only seeing the back of her head she spied the woman had a head of pink just like herself. "Oh hello," she said softly. "Didn't know anyone would be here this late." she said with a small chuckle as she got in the water. Even if she wasn't here alone she was still prepared to have a good time.

She smells it before the words even come tumbling out, a delicious hue of alcohol mixed with the overwhelming heat. And how fitting it is that it's delivered with a mere glimpse of a goddess, one that knows how to truly spoil herself to boot.

"Guess I wasn't the only one who wanted to avoid the crowd." Humming, she crosses her arms over the edge of the hot springs and resting her head upon them. The water ripples with the entrance of other, undiscriminating in its comfort and embrace.

"Zahra..." She purrs, soft and gentle in her approach as she lazily views the other from the corner of her eye. "You are?"

Once she was comfortable she sat her things to the side of her which also happened to be in-between both her and this other stranger. "Guess I wasn't the only one who wanted to avoid the crowd." the woman beside her replies and Emilia chuckled. "There's something really serene and relaxing about having a hot spring to yourself. I couldn't resist." she said as she tucked a stray piece of hair behind her ear. [break][break]

The woman beside her hummed as she readjusted herself. Meanwhile, Emilia focused on setting everything up. Pouring herself a shot while scrolling through her phone for a video she felt like watching. "Zahra..." the woman purrs smoothly after a moment of silence. Without glancing up she quickly knocked back the shot and was busy at work pouring another. "You are?" the woman continues and Emilia chuckles once more. [break][break]

"Emilia. Nice to meet you Zahra. Lovely name by the way." she says softly as violet hues raise to meet Zahra's own. In an instant Emi's eyes widened as she looked at the woman's profile. She'd heard of doppelganger's before but she'd never had an encounter herself. Still, based on her profile alone it oddly seemed as if Emi was looking at a reflection of herself. [break][break]

After a moment of staring she shook her head. It had to be a coincidence. Surely she would turn and Emi would just realized they favored one another from the side and that would be all. Picking up another shot glass from her basked she filled it before offering it to Zahra. "Would you like a drink?" she asked sweetly as she held the glass out to her. "No pressure if you don't. It'll just be more for me anyway."

Indeed, it's hard to resist the allure of some alone time, especially after all the ruckus that's been going on within the ranger ranks. But her daydreams won't stop her from snatching that blessed name, haloed upon her tongue as she dares to repeat it.

"Not as lovely as yours." She hums, drinking in every part of Emilia's expression just to dissect them piece by piece. Silence and shock that ripples through her body, a need to tear herself out of a spiralling train of thought just to focus on the present - There's no doubt that she's caught on the idea that they share similar looks. Perhaps, a little too similar to just be a seasonal trend. Still, she finds no reason to harp on it when the other is already dismissing the possibility.

She smiles at the offer but gently waves it off. "Not one for drinking, can't really hold my liquor... a real pity, if you ask me." If it had been her and her alone within this spacious bathhouse, she might have been a little bold. However, in the company of another, she finds herself fretting over the little things that a loose tongue won't be able to keep.

"Where you from?" Something (hopefully) light to start them off, Zahra figures there's no harm prying in the little time that they'll spend together. "If you don't mind me asking, of course."

"Not as lovely as yours." Zahra hummed smoothly. It brought a genuine smile to Emilia's face as she brought the glass to her lips. "Careful there, you might make me blush." she teased as she quickly knocked back her drink. She waves off the drink Emi offers her, "Not one for drinking, can't really hold my liquor... a real pity, if you ask me." Emilia nodded knowingly and instead poured the contents from the other glass into her own. "No worries, I'll drink enough for the both of us." she said with a coy smile. [break][break]

While they were chatting she turned on some jazz from her phone and turned the volume down low. Just something that could fill the background. Something that was relaxing and wouldn't raise too many eyebrows. "Where you from?" Zahra asked after a few moments of silence. "If you don't mind me asking, of course." Emi shook her head as she reclined against the cool stone, allowing her back to stay pressed up against it. [break][break]

"I don't mind," she said as she took a small sip from her glass, "I'm from Vaniville Town. I actually just moved here recently." She as she turned her violet hues towards Zahra. "What about you? From whence do you hail?" she said in an overly dramatic matter as she raised her glass in the air and offered her a brief cheers. A soft chuckle could be heard escaping her lips before she took another small swig of her drink.
